From enquiry to recordings

How a Wedding Audio Guest Book Works

The experience is simple for guests, with the practical details planned with you and the venue beforehand.

The guest experience

Pick up, listen, speak and hang up

There is no app or screen to navigate. The familiar receiver makes it easy for different generations to take part, while the full-size box gives guests a little space to speak naturally.

Seven simple stages

What happens before, during and after your wedding

  1. 1

    Send your enquiry

Share your wedding date, venue and postcode so Ollie can confirm availability and whether the venue is within the local delivery area.

  2. 2

    Discuss the venue and access

The planned position, access route, power and any venue restrictions can be checked before the wedding.

  3. 3

    Prepare your greeting and signage

Your recorded welcome and personalised names and wedding-date sign are prepared for the experience.

  4. 4

    Delivery and installation

The full-size telephone box is delivered and set up at the agreed venue position.

  5. 5

    Guests leave messages

Guests pick up the receiver, hear your greeting, speak after the tone and hang up when they are finished.

  6. 6

    Collection

The telephone box is collected as part of the hire, in line with the arrangements discussed with the venue.

  7. 7

    Receive the recordings

The successful guest recordings are supplied digitally after the wedding for you to keep and share.

01

Power and Wi-Fi

Guests do not need Wi-Fi to leave recordings. A standard power supply is needed nearby for the illuminated signage and warm internal lighting.

02

Positioning

Choose somewhere visible but away from the loudest speakers, busy doorways and routes where cables or guests could be obstructed.

03

Indoor and outdoor use

Indoor placement is the simplest option. A level, dry and properly sheltered outdoor position can be discussed with Ollie and the venue, subject to access and conditions.

04

Access and space

The delivery route and final position need to suit a full-size structure. Share details about parking, steps, lifts, narrow entrances or timing restrictions early.

Inclusive planning

Discuss guest accessibility with the venue

Guests step into the box and use a telephone receiver. If a guest may need additional space, step-free access or help using the telephone, raise this with Ollie and the venue during planning so the position and approach can be considered.

The box should not be described as accessible without checking the specific venue route and the guest's needs.

Check your date

Tell Ollie about your wedding.

Send your date and venue postcode. Ollie usually replies within 24 to 48 hours.
